Our history

The project was born from an observation: how difficult it is to find products dedicated to the practice of social dances, particularly for men. Both of us are avid salsa dancers, and we decided to launch a new project after searching the internet looking for products and designs to represent our passion.

The project matured for some time in our heads, and meanwhile we had numerous discussions with dancer friends and organizers, which confirmed the needs we had identified. We noticed also that new dancers always complain about the difficulty in finding shoes as we all have when we first started dancing! Eventually, design ideas emerged... The idea took shape and the company My Dance was officially created in May 2024.

What is My Dance?

My Dance is an online store specializing in products tailored for couple dances. We strive to bring together in one place a set of products that meet the needs of social dancers. We come from a salsa background but the project aims to reach all couple dances: Salsa / Bachata / Kizomba / West Coast / Lindy / Tango...

With the creation of the My Dance project we set ourselves the objective of helping dancers to fully live their passion.

    Dancing often does not require a lot of equipment to begin with, but you quickly feel the need to invest to improve your comfort during training and parties: Suitable shoes, associated accessories, light and breathable clothing, etc.

    Shops specializing in dance are rare and often focus on individual dances such as classical, jazz, hip hop. Physical stores linked to couple dancing are almost non-existent and online stores are quite generic: we offer products adapted for couple dances and in particular for the salsa that we know the most.
